shoW works

First, we talk about three key things:

  • Audience: who do you want in the room and how do they get there? Invite only? Media push?

  • Occasion: A cocktail party? A conference? A fundraising gala? A community event? A live taped TV show or podcast?

  • Outcome: what return on investment do you want? To inspire? To entertain? To drive sales or donations?

then, you are involved throughout. It’s more fun than you’d think!

  • You give input on theme or the values celebrated.

  • Your recommend tellers or we find them. We know everybody. Almost.

  • You approve all tellers and stories.

  • You are invited to dress rehearsals, and receive story outlines for review.

then, we Find & coach storytellers to make everything perfect:

  • We research your ideal audience and develop a list of characteristics that storytellers should have to be relevant to your audience. no niche is too obscure. We’ve found thousands of storytellers.

  • Then, we email potential storytellers, inviting them into the opportunity and explaining how things work.

  • We explain the best practices and safeguards that create a positive outcome for storytellers, host organizations and audiences.

  • We ascertain if the storyteller has a suitable story and is prepared to receive coaching. (About 97 percent of people we approach end up on our stages!) Then we start coaching.

  • Each Storyteller Receives between four and eight hours of trauma-informed, culturally competent coaching. this includes sharing details how to start organizing a story, general rules for the event, and logistics about the event.

  • Coaching involves 3-4 calls across two months, detailed notes organized into a 8 to 10-minute story and a dress rehearsal.

Personal stories connect commuities, inspire actions, & entertain audiences.
